The association Pilgrims through Cantabria has announced the launch of a new and interesting cultural and artistic initiative: the I Short Film Festival-Contest 'LA HUELLA EN CORTO'. With this call, the association seeks to merge the historical and spiritual richness of the Jacobean route with the world of cinema.
The main objective of the contest is promote the cultural, historical, social and spiritual dissemination of the Camino de Santiago, placing special emphasis on the Northern Roads, which cross the Cantabria region and often have less media focus than the French Way.
A Canvas for the Pilgrim's Stories, leave your mark
'La Huella en Corto' is presented as a platform for filmmakers and content creators to capture the essence of the pilgrimage: from the difficulties and landscapes of the journey, to the experiences of hospitality and the personal transformation that the route entails.
The call, which was recently launched, invites creators from all over Spain to send their works that reflect the values and significance of the Camino, in order to use audiovisual art as a vehicle to tell the stories that are forged along the trails.
Aim: The contest seeks to extol the values of brotherhood, effort and heritage of the Caminos de Santiago, inviting the film community to leave their own mark on Jacobean history.
This event marks an important step in the promotion of the Caminos del Norte, consolidating the effort of “Pilgrims for Cantabria” to keep tradition and the pilgrim spirit alive through new forms of artistic expression.
