The Caminho de Santiago, also known as Caminho de Santiago
The remains of São Tiago have been discovered in the region. The news is that the location has become an important destination for Christian pilgrimage. Over two centuries, several roads developed, converging in the direction of Santiago de Compostela. The most well-known and traveled route is the Caminho Francês, which begins in St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, in France, and crosses into Spain.
The Caminho de Santiago is not just a religious day, but also a unique cultural experience. Pilgrims walk through picturesque landscapes, crossing villages, historic cities, forests, mountains and valleys. Throughout the journey, we find historical landmarks, monuments, churches, monuments and ancient bridges, dating back to different periods of history.
One of the main reasons why people embark on this pilgrimage is to search for meaning and personal reflection. The Caminho offers time and space to disconnect from everyday life, allowing pilgrims to concentrate on their own internal days. Many consider the walk an opportunity to reflect, find answers, overcome personal challenges and establish deep connections with ourselves and others.
