Segovian Schoolchildren Discover the Urban Way of Santiago
Segovia. More than 700 4th and 5th grade students from Segovia have had the opportunity to explore the Camino de Santiago as he passes through the city. This educational initiative, organized by the Education and Youth area of the Segovia City Council together with the Association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago, seeks to bring the youngest people closer to this historic route.

A Tour of Segovian History and Heritage
The walks were carried out during the months of April and May, starting from the Azoguejo Square and culminating in the Royal Mint. The route included emblematic points such as the House of Abraham Seneor, the Cathedral, the house of Antonio Machado, the Puerta de Santiago and the Francisco Peralta Puppet Collection.
During the tour, which was guided by expert volunteers from the Association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago, each participant received a “Pilgrim's Credential” personalized and a yellow arrow pin, distinctive symbols of the Camino. In addition, each educational center was recognized with a diploma.

The Councilor for Education and Youth, Sergio Calleja, highlighted the importance of this experience, pointing out that "it is undoubtedly an enriching learning experience that does not only consist of walking, it combines path, history, heritage, tourism and culture." The activity not only promoted physical exercise, but also knowledge of the rich cultural and historical legacy of Segovia linked to the Camino de Santiago.
