Discover the Romanesque of the Camino de Santiago in Mieres!
Mieres, Asturias. Are you a lover of history, art and the Camino de Santiago? The Mieres City Council, through its Department of Tourism, invites you to a fascinating free guided tour to explore two Romanesque jewels linked to the Jacobean route: the churches of Santolaya in Uxo and Santa María Magdalena in La Rebollá.
These towns are key points on the Camino, and their parish temples preserve Romanesque elements of great value. The Church of Santolaya (Uxo), declared a Site of Cultural Interest, will surprise you with its old factory. For its part, the church of Saint Mary Magdalene (La Rebollá) It preserves beautiful figurative corbels and part of the cornice of its original structure.

- Important: The route does not include transfers between points nor is it accessible for people with reduced mobility.
- Reservations: Limited places. It is essential to formalize the reservation at least 48 hours in advance. The activity requires a minimum of 5 participants.
“This Summer, ENJOY WEDNESDAY 2025” Program
This visit is part of the successful “This summer, ENJOY WEDNESDAY” program, which in its last edition attracted more than 500 participants. The 2025 edition comes loaded with new features, including more guided tours and routes, a thematic route about the October Revolution of '34, a monographic visit to the Sanctuary of the Martyrs, and the extension of the tourist bus departures to every Sunday in July and August.
You can enjoy georoutes, ethnographic routes, cycle tours, hikers and many more, all of them free. Remember that, due to limited places, prior reservation is essential and is made through the online forms in the program agenda.
