This Tuesday, the Cidade da Cultura de Santiago hosted the presentation of the third edition of the 'Creative Path of Santiago', an initiative that will take place from April 13 to 23 and that this year will promote entrepreneurship and the dissemination of the Ribeira Sacra.
This was announced this Tuesday by the president of the organizing entity, Belen Elisa Díaz, in an event that was chaired by the general director of Culture, Anxo M. Lorenzo, and in which, among others, mayors of the Ribeira Sacra and representatives of the Winter Trail Association participated, for which this trip will be made one more year until reaching Compostela.
Specifically, the 'Creative Path' is a program aimed at entrepreneurs in which participants will travel, from April 13 to 23, the Winter Route that crosses the Ribeira Sacra while they develop their business plan and support its candidacy for UNESCO World Heritage status in 2026.
In this way, the 20 selected entrepreneurs will develop their business idea while traveling the 133.4 kilometers of the Winter Road between Monforte de Lemos and Santiago, an initiative that, highlighted by the Deputy for Interior Government, Promotion of Territory and Tourism, Pilar García Porto, "genuinely mixes entrepreneurship and landscape, innovation and talent, culture and tourism."
OPEN REGISTRATIONS
Furthermore, within the framework of this 'Creative Path', they announced at this Tuesday's press conference that the Ribeira Sacra will host a national meeting on entrepreneurship linked to the cultural and creative industries, "placing emphasis on the creation of a creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem."
However, the forum will take place in "emblematic" spaces, for example at the Parador Nacional de Monforte de Lemos on April 11 or at the Sober Palace on the 12th of the same month, in addition to visits and cultural activities on the 13th. Likewise, a public call will be opened on February 4 for entrepreneurs who wish to present their projects at the meeting until February 28.
Finally, the objective of this meeting is "to encourage entrepreneurship linked to the territory and the landscape, promoting the development of projects based on local resources and culture as a strategic axis of social, economic and environmental transformation."
