The Camino de Santiago to Fisterra-Muxía Gains Popularity: The Camiño do Solpor Association Exceeds 175,000 Credentials Issued
The Camino de Santiago does not end, for thousands of pilgrims, in the Plaza del Obradoiro. With each step towards the Atlantic, a new route opens, revealing the most authentic, humble and proud Galicia of its roots. The Camiño do Solpor Association, dedicated to the promotion of the Camino de Santiago to Fisterra-Muxía, has seen its efforts rewarded by exceeding the impressive number of 175,000 credentials issued in the last seven years.

This entity, established in 2014, works tirelessly to promote this additional stretch of 103 kilometers, which takes walkers from Santiago to the Coast of Death. In 2018, the association began issuing official credentials for this tour, an initiative that has gained enormous popularity.
With an average of 25,000 credentials issued each year, the figure shows that a growing number of pilgrims choose to extend their trip beyond the Galician capital, seeking in the End of the Earth a symbolic and spiritual conclusion to their adventure. The Camiño do Solpor Association thus consolidating its role as a key actor in the promotion of this route, attracting thousands of people to discover the wild beauty and hospitality of a Galicia that faces the sea.
