Felipe Rodrigo: The Tireless Pilgrim with 15 Paths Behind His Back
At 66 years old and with a knee prosthesis, Felipe Rodrigo Aragón demonstrates that the spirit of the Camino de Santiago is a powerful "therapy for the soul", having completed it 15 times since 2009.
The magic of the Camino de Santiago seems to have completely captivated Felipe Rodrigo Aragón. This 66-year-old pilgrim, despite having a complete knee replacement and having undergone four operations, has traveled the Jacobean route no less than 15 times since 2009, treasuring unforgettable memories of each experience.
«On the Camino you find a family that is not your family; people you don't know at all, who open up and tell you about their wounds. And you do the same: there you cry, you laugh, you heal," Rodrigo shared with the EFE Agency, describing the deep human connection that is forged along the path.

A Journey of Healing and Reflection
For Felipe, the Camino is much more than a physical challenge; it's a therapeutic trip. Although since 2022 he has dedicated his time to taking care of his 97-year-old mother, he has a clear purpose for the future: the day she is gone, he will walk again from Puertollano to Santiago to dedicate it to her.
"It helps you analyze yourself, forgive yourself, understand what you can and cannot control," explains Rodrigo. «I recommend it to many friends who are going through a bad time. It's like you carry a psychologist in your backpack. Their testimony highlights the transformative power of the Camino, a space where pilgrims can find solace, self-knowledge and strength.
