Il Cammino di Santiago enters class

Il Cammino di Santiago enters class

The Camino di Santiago can be viewed without wearing any scarves.

In Ponferrada, all the students of the primary school have started to get to know the tappe, symbols and curiosities of the pellegrinaggio thanks to little ones, an educational project that transforms the Cammino into an inspired game into the traditional gioco dell'oca.

Four groups of scholastici dei collegi Valentín García Yebra and Navaliegos have participated in all the activities promoted by the Association of Friends of the Camino di Santiago di El Bierzo.

L'idea è simple: imparare giocando and avvicinare la cultura jacobea ai bambini prima ancora che abbiano l'età percorrere davvero una longa brokenta verso Santiago.

Give alunni to piccoli pellegrini

During the activity, the children symbolically advance along the road through a school route.

This step allows you to discover something new: tap, luoghi, elements of the traditions and references to the life of the pellegrino.

So now the class changes completely.

The children told us “little ones”, piccoli pelegrini that percorrono an imaginary rotta verse Santiago.

The project is close to transforming a complex historical and cultural heritage in something simple, participatory and understandable for the students of the primary school.

Il Cammino as an educational instrument

Il valore dell'iniziativa va oltre il gioco.

The Camino de Santiago allows us to talk about geography, history, heritage, hospitality, effort, coexistence and respect for the territory.

Carrying it in the school means also spending time with the children every day of the person across the country every year in the city and village, following the frequency of the children and their families.

In a territory eaten El Bierzo, across the French Way, which knowledge has included a particular meaning.

Il pellegrino not è qualcosa di lontano.

It is part of the everyday paesaggio.

A later superior command available

The risk of the academic center is particularly positive.

The Ponferrada school has shown interest in participating and the richest has not surpassed and made available in this first phase.

For this reason, the Association of Friends of the Camino di Santiago di El Bierzo will value the Commune of Ponferrada as possible to form collaborations to expand the project.

The objective is to allow a large number of children to live this educational experience.

Saving all Xacobeo 2027

Pequegrinos has also its collaboration with the Xunta de Galicia and is included in the initiative legate allo Xacobeo 2027.

Take the path of all new generations so you can discover one of the most important aspects of the next Holy Year.

Do not try to put on new skins.

If you try even more capires than others, the Cammino is heritage, history and shared culture.

And forse many of the children who oggi lanciano un dice in classe, after which year, they will decide to run again that the chilometri.

Perché ogni pellegrino, prima o poi, comincia da un primo passo.

    Luján promotes religious tourism

Luján has just taken a step that goes far beyond organizing a massive pilgrimage. The First Ibero-American Forum of Marian Cities, held on…

  • The sign that baffles pilgrims

    The sign that baffles pilgrims

On the Camino de Santiago one soon learns to look at the signs. Yellow arrows, scallops, cairns and small indicators become inseparable companions for hundreds of kilometers. But in Vilamartín de Valdeorras, in the middle of the Camino de Invierno, a traffic sign has achieved precisely the opposite: attracting attention and causing surprise among those...
