Dreams Fulfilled on the Road! Aspace Sevilla successfully concludes the IV “All Angels Fly”

Two Sisters, Seville. Seven brave young people with cerebral palsy, users of the center Aspace Seville in Dos Hermanas, have successfully completed the fourth edition of the project "All Angels Fly". This inspiring initiative makes the dream of living the Camino de Santiago for people with cerebral palsy, offering them an experience of improvement, companionship and inclusion.

IV Camino de Santiago All Angels Fly 2

Ricardo, Luis, Laura, Cristina, Carlos, Alba and Fernando They embarked on this adventure last June 20, leaving from Dos Hermanas. Once in Vigo, on the 21st, they had the opportunity to become familiar with the adapted chairs (handbikes, hippocampes and joëlettes) thanks to the collaboration of the Discamino association, before officially beginning their pilgrimage on Sunday, the 22nd.

Five Stages of Effort and Joy on the Portuguese Coastal Way

The expedition completed the Portuguese Coastal Way, a journey that tested their endurance and spirit. A dedicated team of nine volunteer porters and four Aspace professionals was the driving force behind this feat, pushing and guiding the adapted chairs every kilometer.

The stages were developed as follows:

  • Day 1: Vigo to Redondela (18 kilometers).
  • Day 2: Round it to Pontevedra (19.6 kilometers).
  • Day 3: Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis (21.1 kilometers).
  • Day 4: Caldas de Reis to Padrón (18.6 kilometers).
  • Day 5: Padrón to Santiago de Compostela (23.3 kilometers), the longest and most emotional stage.

After living an unforgettable day of coexistence in Santiago, celebrating their arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro, the group returned to Dos Hermanas on Saturday, June 28, loaded with experiences, memories and the satisfaction of a challenge overcome.

“All Angels Fly” by Aspace Sevilla is not only an inclusive sports project; It is a powerful statement that the Camino de Santiago is for everyone, demonstrating that with support and determination, there are no insurmountable barriers. The initiative highlights the value of solidarity and teamwork, allowing the magic of the Camino to transform lives and build a more inclusive future.
