Major Summer Festival Season with O Son do Camiño

Galicia is preparing for one of its busiest and most vibrant summers yet, as a series of internationally renowned music festivals transform the region into a major cultural destination. From the pop-driven atmosphere of O Son do Camiño in Santiago de Compostela to the heavy riffs of Resurrection Fest in Viveiro, thousands of music fans from across Spain and abroad are expected to flock to Galicia over the coming weeks.

O Son do Camiño Opens the Summer in Santiago

The first major event of the season will be O Son do Camiño, taking place from 18 to 20 June at the iconic Monte do Gozo in Santiago de Compostela. Widely regarded as one of Spain’s leading music festivals, the event is expected to attract more than 125,000 attendees across its three-day programme.

This year’s line-up features major international stars including Linkin Park, Katy Perry, Biffy Clyro, and Afrojack, alongside Spanish favourites such as Dani Martín, Lola Índigo, and Guitarricadelafuente. Galician artists Sen Senra and Carlos Ares will also represent the local music scene. Since its debut in 2018, O Son do Camiño has become a powerful driver of tourism and an international showcase for Santiago de Compostela.

A Coruña and Vigo Keep the Music Flowing

Following Santiago’s opening celebration, A Coruña will host the sixth edition of Noites do Porto from 22 June to 5 July, offering an eclectic programme of 25 concerts. Artists such as Xoel López, The Horrors, Curtis Harding, Monsieur Periné, and María José Llergo are set to perform, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a cultural hotspot.

Meanwhile, Vigo will welcome the second edition of Galicia Fest on 26 and 27 June. Aimed at younger audiences, the festival will feature performers including Álvaro de Luna, Juan Magán, Lori Meyers, Miriam Rodríguez, Marlena, Vera Fauna, and several emerging talents, further diversifying Galicia’s summer music offering.

Resurrection Fest Brings Global Rock Fans to Viveiro

From 1 to 4 July, attention will shift to the coastal town of Viveiro, where Resurrection Fest celebrates its 21st edition. Recognised as one of Europe’s most important rock and metal festivals, the event will gather more than 80 bands and thousands of fans from dozens of countries.

Headlining the festival are legendary acts such as Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, and Sabaton, reaffirming Resurrection Fest’s status as a must-attend event within the international heavy music calendar. The festival has become a significant economic and cultural force for Galicia, especially in the A Mariña region of Lugo.

Music Tourism Continues to Grow in Galicia

Supported by initiatives such as the Concertos do Xacobeo, Galicia’s festival scene continues to expand, attracting visitors seeking not only world-class performances but also the region’s gastronomy, landscapes, and hospitality.

From indie and electronic music to pop, folk, rock, and metal, Galicia’s summer calendar offers something for every musical taste. As thousands prepare to travel to the region over the coming months, the message is clear: Galicia has firmly established itself as one of Spain’s leading festival destinations
