The Palacio de la Merced, headquarters of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, hosted this afternoon the presentation of the project 'Camino de Santiago: an inclusive path', an initiative promoted by the Association of Friends of the White Cross that will consist of the realization, with a group of assisted people, of the San Francisco de Asís Family House of the Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, some 116 kilometers.
The president of the provincial institution, Salvador Fuentes, who welcomed them at the headquarters of the Provincial Council, took advantage of the occasion to convey his recognition "for making possible this experience that is much more than a route, it is a life experience, of personal improvement and encounter with others."
“You will be able to enjoy unique landscapes, moments of reflection and opportunities to strengthen coexistence on a path in which your age, abilities or personal circumstances do not matter, since you all share the same enthusiasm and the same objective; to reach the Obradoiro,” he stated.
In this sense, Fuentes emphasized in his speech that "the diversity of the participants is a source of personal and collective enrichment, demonstrating that the true value of the path lies in walking together, supporting each other."
Finally, the highest representative of the Provincial Council has thanked the work carried out in Córdoba by the Brothers of the White Cross, especially in their residence and through multiple activities, because "their dedication and courage are an example of life and love for others, a constant demonstration that true service is born from the heart and is translated into concrete actions." Finally, he said goodbye to the participants, encouraging them to live a Camino “full of joy and indelible moments.”
