The bench of 110 horseshoes that excites pilgrims now has its place in Galicia
There are corners that are not born to be famous...
but they end up being that.
That is what is happening with a very special bank, built with 110 horseshoes, which in a short time has become a new stopping point for walkers and visitors of the Camino de Santiago.
This bank is located in the Outeiro Grande Viewpoint, located in Liripio, in the municipality of A Estrada (Pontevedra), a place from which you can dominate the landscape and where the Camino invites you to stop, take a deep breath and look around.

It's not just a bank.
It is a place to stop the body… and also the head.
Each of the horseshoes that make it up has a history.
It has touched earth, mud and stone.
It has accompanied long, slow, hard trips.
Now, joined in a circle, they form a rotating bench from which you can contemplate the surroundings as if you were reviewing your own inner Path.
Whoever sits there understands it immediately.
After so many kilometers, the important thing is not to move forward…
is stop for a moment.
Stop to remember where you come from.
Stop to think about why you started.
Stop to feel that all that effort made sense.
Many pilgrims speak of this bank as a place “with something special.”
Others say it brings good luck.
Others simply remain silent, turn slowly and smile.
On a Camino full of churches, crosses and milestones, this bench made of iron has achieved something difficult:
become a symbol without the need for words.
Because the Camino is not just about getting to Santiago.
It's everything that happens before.
And sometimes, all that fits on a bench of horseshoes in front of the Galician landscape.
