The Camino continues beyond Santiago
The Camino a Fisterra is one of the best-known extensions of the Jacobean pilgrimage.
Unlike traditional routes, which have Santiago de Compostela as their destination, this itinerary starts from the Galician capital and continues towards the Costa da Morte, where many pilgrims decide to symbolically complete their journey along the Atlantic.
The accident once again reminds us that some sections of this route cross rural tracks, areas with steep slopes and places with difficult access, especially for those who travel by bicycle.
The day thus ended with painful news for his fellow travelers and for the entire pilgrim community.
From RTV Camino de Santiago we convey our condolences to the deceased pilgrim's family, friends and colleagues on the Camino.
