Salas reinvents itself as a destination on the Camino de Santiago with a new tourist image and a commitment to experiences
Salas has taken a firm step to consolidate itself as one of the most attractive destinations on the Camino de Santiago with the presentation of its new tourism brand at FITUR under the motto “Salas on the Camino”. The council is committed to a modern image that combines tradition, heritage, nature and hospitality, reflecting the essence of a territory that has always been a meeting point for pilgrims and travelers.

The new logo incorporates symbols of the Primitive Way and a heart that represents the closeness and humane treatment that distinguishes its neighbors, a clear welcome message for those who arrive looking for something more than a simple place to stop by. The tourist proposal is not limited to a visual image but is supported by an extensive program of activities that fill the municipality with life throughout the year with medieval fairs, sports events, cultural routes and gastronomic events that turn each weekend into an opportunity to discover Salas from a different perspective.

Gastronomy occupies a central place in this strategy with highly prestigious local products such as afuega'l pitu cheese, beans, kiwi or artisan sausages, flavors that connect the visitor with the identity of the territory and its way of life. The City Council also highlights the involvement of the associative fabric, which is key to keeping tradition alive, organizing activities and transmitting to visitors an authentic experience based on coexistence and closeness. With this initiative Salas wants to reinforce its role within the Camino de Santiago as a place where it is worth stopping, resting and getting to know, promoting sustainable tourism that generates opportunities for the local population and preserves the cultural and natural values of the council.
The new brand “Salas en el Camino” was born as an invitation to discover a destination with history, heart and future, capable of offering memorable experiences to both pilgrims and travelers seeking tranquility, culture and good food.
