A new digital guardian for the Camino: the CAMINO BOOMZ app connects and protects pilgrims around the world

Through a media angel of the Camino en route

For centuries, the Camino de Santiago has been more than a network of hiking routes: it is a living and breathing community. Pilgrims come to Spain from all corners of the world, united by long days on the road, shared meals, unexpected conversations and stories that last long after Santiago Cathedral comes into view. Now, a new app brings that timeless community spirit into the digital age.

CAMINO BOOMZ, now available in the App Store and Google Play, is positioned as the first social application focused on the Camino, designed to keep pilgrims connected and safe, without replacing the magic of the path itself.

At the heart of the app are two standout features.

Angels and tracking: security with a human touch
CAMINO BOOMZ introduces an innovative “Angels” system, allowing pilgrims to look after each other digitally. Instead of tracking only their friends, users can form support circles in which other pilgrims act as guardians along the route. Location tracking is not designed for surveillance, but for peace of mind, something especially valuable on long, lonely stages or in unknown terrain.

What makes this feature especially powerful is its reach beyond the Path itself. Family members back home can follow the pilgrim's journey, offering peace of mind to loved ones thousands of miles away. For many, this transforms concern into participation, turning the Camino into a shared experience, even across continents.

Multilingual chat: one Way, many voices
The Camino has always been multilingual, but language barriers can limit connection. CAMINO BOOMZ addresses this problem with an integrated multilingual translation chat, allowing pilgrims from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds to communicate seamlessly.

This feature doesn't just help with logistics or quick questions - it opens the door to real social exchange. Pilgrims can support each other, share advice or simply chat about the day's walk, forming friendships that often begin online and continue offline in hostels, cafes and town squares along the route.

A digital extension of an ancient journey
It is important to highlight that CAMINO BOOMZ does not intend to distract pilgrims from the Camino, but rather to improve what already exists. The app reflects the core values of the Camino: community, care and shared experience. By combining security-focused technology with social connection, it offers a modern companion to an ancient pilgrimage.

On a journey defined by yellow arrows and human kindness, CAMINO BOOMZ is less an app and more another pilgrim walking silently by your side.
