Córdoba is projected to the world at FITUR 2026 with a powerful commitment to religious and experiential tourism
The province of Cordova has presented in FITUR 2026 an ambitious tourism proposal that reinforces its international positioning as religious, cultural and experiential tourism destination. The Córdoban presence at the fair has put the focus on spirituality, local identity and the great landscapes of the Argentine interior.
One of the main axes of the presentation has been the Path of the Priest Brochero, one of the most important pilgrimage routes in Latin America, which covers places linked to the life and work of José Gabriel del Rosario Brochero, known as the Gaucho Priest. This itinerary is consolidated as a benchmark for contemporary religious tourism, combining faith, history and territorial development.
The Camino del Cura Brochero, spiritual and tourist axis
During the presentation at FITUR, Córdoba highlighted the value of the Camino de Brochero as an experience that transcends the religious to become a human and cultural journey. Thousands of pilgrims travel this route every year, which crosses mountain landscapes, towns with a strong identity and spaces full of spiritual symbolism.
The proposal also highlights the positive impact of this pilgrimage on local economies, reinforcing a sustainable tourism model that generates opportunities in rural areas and promotes cultural roots.
Diversity of experiences for the whole year
Beyond religious tourism, Córdoba has shown at FITUR a comprehensive offer that includes cultural tourism, nature, gastronomy and events, with the aim of attracting visitors throughout the year. The province is committed to tourism of authentic experiences, where the visitor not only observes, but participates and connects with the territory.
This strategy responds to a global trend: travelers look for destinations with soul, real stories and proposals that combine well-being, culture and meaning.

Córdoba, a benchmark for spiritual tourism in Latin America
Participation in FITUR 2026 reinforces the international projection of Córdoba and its role as benchmark of religious tourism in Latin America. The figure of Cura Brochero, the first Argentine saint, thus becomes a key element to build bridges between continents and dialogue with other great routes of faith, such as the Camino de Santiago.
With this presentation, Córdoba demonstrates that religious tourism is not only a legacy of the past, but a future opportunity, capable of generating development, identity and connection between people and cultures.
