An Italian group of children with the disturbance of the autistic spectrum is traveling in this day the last step of the Camino de Santiago with an objective that goes ben oltre l'arrivo in Praza do Obradoiro: we will show that the Cammino can also be one space of autonomy, inclusion and personal growth.
I ragazzi fanno part di CamminAutism, Italian project born to offer to giovani autistici esperienze capaci di sviluppare autonomy, capaci relazionali e fiducia in se stessi attraverso attività in contesti naturali e sociali. The Camino de Santiago is one of the main scenes of this journey.
The day of the oggi the group has faced the tappa Melide-Arzúa, with departure scheduled at 8.30. Accompagnarli ci sono anche uomini e mezzi della Guardia Civil, con personnele de Seguridad Ciudadana, della Mobile Pilgrim Assistance Office and of it Cavalry Squad.

A path full of autonomy
Per CamminAutism, walking verse Santiago does not mean soltanto accumulare chilometri.
The project uses the journey and the daily life of the Camino to meet and participate in new situations: to adapt to different times, share space, face the situation, relate to other people and progressively prevent unforeseen management and decisions.
The association defines it as a percorso verse “autonomy and inclusion”, in which you will use your own comfort zone to help and give you the ability to spend the rest of your life in your daily life.
Negli anni precedenti have not participated in the experience of CamminAutism groups of people and ragazze with diverse livelli of support, accompagnati by professionisti sanitari, operators, famiglie, volontari e realtà del terzo setore.
The Civil Guard walks with them again
The presence of the Civil Guard is not a novelty.
Già in previous editions volunteer agents have accompanied and protected the group during the Camino de Santiago, providing human and logistical support. The Civil Guard's own sustainability report includes this collaboration as an action aimed at promoting the inclusion and well-being of the young participants.
Quest'anno l'accompagnamento returns to ripetersi nelle last time tappe galiziane.
Dopo Melide-Arzúa, the program foresees the completion of the route Arzúa-O Pedrouzo and saturday the last tappa tra Or Pedrouzo and Santiago de Compostela.

Santiago is always my neighbor
The group was arrived in Galizia on the first day of the season and had started on its true road on August 24. Nonostante the pioggia of the first day, and participants have not continued to share and with great enthusiasm.
Pray Santiago is your neighbor.
But probably the most important part of this story will not be the final photograph taken at the Cattedrale.
It will be all the time that all the people have left before long on the journey.
Perché the Camino de Santiago can be sport, culture, spirituality, tourism or adventure.
