The Diocese of Palencia, through its Youth Pastoral Delegation, once again proposes a pilgrimage experience through the summer of 2026. Camino de Santiago, aimed especially at young people who want to live a few days of coexistence, faith, nature and personal growth.
The initiative will be developed from June 29 to July 5, 2026 and will go through several stages of the Interior Portuguese Way, with departure from O Porrino and arrival at Santiago de Compostela. According to the information published by the diocese itself, one of the planned stages will be O Porriño–Redondela, under the motto “Called by…”.

A young pilgrimage to Santiago
The Camino de Santiago continues to be one of the great experiences of religious tourism, spirituality, youth coexistence and personal discovery in Spain. For many participants, it is not just about walking kilometers, but about sharing life, overcoming fatigue, meeting other young people and discovering the value of pilgrim hospitality.
This proposal from the Diocese of Palencia joins other initiatives that seek to bring the Camino closer to new generations, reinforcing values such as friendship, listening, faith, effort, solidarity and encounter.
